Qualls is 5 months old...

Qualls turned 5 months old on March 5th. We cannot believe that he is almost 1/2 year old! We continue to be blessed each day with our sweet Qualls!!!

we changed up Qualls' monthly picture this month...to take it with his humpty dumpty. Qualls now weighs almost 18lbs. he is getting bigger and bigger each day.

what is Qualls up to at 5 months?

**still sleeping pretty well (the last week has totally been off since he has been sick)

**wears 9 to 12 month clothes. he has had a BIG growth sprut

**wearing size 3 diapers

**still drinking a good amount of formula...6.5oz per bottle

**still have not started solids. hoping to in the next couple of weeks. funny...by this time, quinn had already tried almost every vegetable!!!

**has found his feet and loves to hang onto them

**can lift his whole chest off the floor...he really wants to go but i am thankful he hasn't figured all of that out yet!!!

**working on his 2 bottom teeth

**still sleeping in the room with us...in his pack n play...hoping to make the transition to his room after 6 months

**loves his jumper

**loves his brother and his brother is beginning to love him more each day

**cries to calm himself down to go asleep...just qualls way!!!

**still sucks his thumb...no more pacifiers.

**loves to laugh!!! so happy!!!

we are looking forward to seeing what the next month brings!!!

he loves me...he really loves me...

last night, quinn wanted to lay on the couch beside qualls. so, jq laid qualls down and quinn got right up beside him. i ran for my camera (as you notice...i didn't even waste time taking the camo blanket out from behind them) because this is a rare thing around our house...getting both boys in one picture!!!

the pink hat returns...

Pretty gross post...but I want to remember this...and since I am using the blog as my scrapbook/baby book...I have got to put it in here!!!

Abbe, my sister, has a thing with cradle cap. If she sees it on her kids or mine...she starts picking at it to get it off their heads. When Quinn was around 2 months, we were at their house and I looked over and Quinn's head was white from where Abbe had scratched all of the cradle cap up along with most his hair! She then went and got the baby oil, soft toothbrush and a hat. The hat she came back with was Meredith's pink one. So, Quinn wore it home and it has officially become the "cradle cap" hat. This past weekend I worked on Qualls' head and the pink hat returned.

where does the time go?

Today...I filled out Quinn's application for our church dayschool (not real sure about this yet!). It feels like yesterday I was watching him roll over for the first time like Qualls. It is crazy how time flies. One of my resolutions this year was to stop going all the time and ENJOY these moments with the boys! It is only here for a short time!

Everytime I hear this Darius Rucker song...I get tears in my eyes! He is talking about his daughter but I always relate it to the boys. It really isn't going to be this way for long.

Not real sure if I am ready for this phase to begin???

Qualls and his thumb...

Qualls has found his thumb!!! Quinn wanted to suck his thumb but I was so against it for some reason. Everytime he would put his thumb in his mouth...I would exchange it for a paci! With that said...I really wish I would have let Quinn suck his thumb. I think he would have been a better baby! So, if Qualls wants to suck his thumb...Qualls will suck his thumb!!! This mom learned with her first one!!!
