i need food...real food...

last night...qualls was up A LOT!!! it was like living the newborn time all over again. so, this morning i decided that we were going to start solids! i had wanted to wait till he was 6 months but drastic times calls for drastic measures...just kidding but at 4:00am i would have done anything for this kid to go to sleep and stay for more than 3 hours. i had done rice cereal a couple of times before to see if it would help him sleep around 3 1/2 months but it didn't so i stopped...

poor thing...thought he was so hungry...he decided a play fish would do!!!

come on mom and dad...i am ready here for some of that food you eat!!!

lets just say...he did not miss a beat. no bib for this boy!!!

Qualls is 4 months old...

Qualls went for his 4 month visit yesterday! He weighs 16lbs (75 percentaile) and is 26.5in (95 percentaile). Qualls is such a sweet little boy!
We are so blessed to have such a precious little boy.

What is Qualls up to at 4 months?

**he is wearing a size 2 diaper during the day and a size 3 at night

**he is sleeping 5 hour stretches at night

**still drinking 6 to 6.5 oz per bottle. if he skips a bottle at night he makes up for it during the day...so, still drinking around 42oz. a day.

**has decided he does not like the pacifier and likes his thumb better

**rolled over at 3 months 1 week both ways

**decided he would roll across the floor this month too

**smiles, coos, kicks, laughs loudly and eats on his hands all day long

**still wears 3 to 6 month onesies and clothes but have started yesterday wearing some 6 to 9 month clothes

thought i would note...that Qualls slept a 10 hour stretch last night but think that only happened because of his shots!!! i don't really think this will happen again!!! hoping but not counting on it!!!

our compassion child...

I frequently visit a blog called Kelly's Korner. LOVE that blog! If you have never visited...I recommend you do so! Her and her husband recently went on a trip with Compassion to El Salvador and I was so moved by her pictures and thoughts while on the trip. I have always wanted to adopt a child this way but have always been scared that the children would not receive the money. I feel certain that the $38 a month we will be giving...will be going to our sweet child that we have decided to adopt.
Meet our Compassion child...
Worrapan Klaipana from Thailand. She is 4 years old and shares a birthday with my sweet neice, Meredith. I was looking through the children's pictures on the Compassion website and she was the first one that I clicked on and noticed she had the same birthday as Meredith. I knew she was the one! I cannot wait to write her letters and send her surprises!
