nothing like a good day playing outside...

we had a wonderful day today. we all went over to memaw/granny's house and played. meredith, luke and noah were there too...so, they had a wonderful time!!!

having a picnic outside on the patio...

cousin noah was also an indian...love kids imaginations!!!

the boys had a thing with the limbs in the yard today...each one of them had one at all times...

meredith danced for us. at one point..she was swinging her ponytails...and she looked just like jan brady!!! so funny!!!

quinn went up and down the slide a million times...

taking a rest...

since all of the great grandchildren were there...we took pictures for a mother's day gift for memaw/granny...all of the older ones had theirs taken outside...

qualls...we did inside...

bless his heart. he was outside for 3 hours yesterday and his allergies started acting up horribly!!! so...in return his eczema has been a pill too...

he is one sweet...off the charts boy though!!! such a snuggle bug! i cannot believe he is 7 months old!!!

tonight...gigi and pops came over for our usual friday night dinner...catfish...

today is also abbe's, my sister, birthday!!!! happy birthday aunt abbe!!!

quinn and qualls love you!!!

a little fun activity...

it started out with this...

but quinn decided he would like to taste the non-cooked noodles...and after that...he was over this little plate...

so, we moved to this...

i remember doing this as a child and thought quinn would enjoy it...after the 1st activity was shot! ha! he did not really enjoy the glue much...because he was getting it all over his hands. i helped him out a lot because he was too worried about the crayons that were also on the table.

as you can see...he no longer wanted to glue and use construction paper...

he wanted to use the crayons for qualls' name...

then...he decided he wanted to draw our family...

i really don't know about the tail looking thing coming from j.q. pretty funny!!!

on another note...

every little bit helps!!!

just thinking...

as many of you know...my aunt linda (my mom's sister) passed away last year in april. it was a hard time for my whole family.

my mamie paige, mom's mother, has been in the hospital pretty much the whole month of april. she was pretty sick when she entered the hospital. she was in the actual hospital for over a week then moved down to the hospital's skilled facility for two more weeks. mamie paige finally got to come home this past thursday.

mom went every other day while my uncle did the other days.

with all of that being said...fast forward to this past week...

while my mom was visiting...my mamie paige said something that has been on my mind...she told mom that she had it great both ways...living or dying. she could be here on earth with mom and my uncle or in heaven with my aunt linda.

to her...death is not scary...the unknown is okay...

i have a special and close friend, tonya. she gave her son, kainen, to jesus 4 years ago on april 21st. her and her husband, jonah, have to be two of the strongest people i know. they both are not bitter or mad. instead, they both are looking forward to seeing kainen again in heaven. they write the sweetest things about seeing kainen waiting for them beside the river and they cannot wait to hug him and hear his voice.

jonah and tonya are okay with dying...the unknown is okay...

my prayer is to never bury my child. i hope that my time is done before theirs.

but, i also hope and pray that i can be more like mamie paige, jonah and tonya...do everything possible to make sure that i get to heaven.

just thinking...
